A series of architectural design studies for one of the largest hypermarket chains in Eastern Europe and Russia. Design solutions included an efficient space saving entry for local sized stores and a dynamic eye-catching entry for the flagship locations in major cities. The scope extended into pedestrian flow, retail layout, customer servicing, materials, and company branding which influenced the design process.
The entry point to any hypermarket must set up the internal flow of shoppers throughout the store. These entrances are specifically designed to maximize the ease with which shoppers find the areas they are looking for so that they have the best shopping experience possible. It is crucial that the design provides them with a good introduction to the building- the entryway is both the most eye-catching part of the store and one that shoppers notice first when they enter from the parking lot. This entry design development was implemented for the hypermarket Globus in Krasnogorsk, in 2016.
